Hong Kong ICT Awards 2017: Best Business Solution Award - open for entries

“Hong Kong ICT Awards: Best Business Solution Award” (the Award), an annual flagship industry event organised by the Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS), is now open for applications starting from today (19 December) until 20 January, 2017. This year, the Award is divided into three streams, namely, the Best Business Solution (Application) Award, Best Business Solution (Product & Service) Award and Best Business Solution (e-Commerce) Award. Aiming to recognise the remarkable success of information and communications technology inventions and applications, the Award welcomes all local ICT enterprises to participate with their outstanding innovations.

By honouring the ICT achievements of local enterprises with the Award, HKCS aims at encouraging more original software development and promoting the application of innovative technology in the local community. The Award is one of the eight categories under the HKICT Awards 2017, which is dedicated to improving Hong Kong’s overall competitiveness and boosting operating efficiency through enhancing services and product quality in different industries.

Under a comprehensive and rigorous judging process, all entries will be evaluated by the high-calibre judging panel based on the following criteria: innovation and creativity in ICT, functionality, market potential and performance, benefits and impact, as well as quality.

Each of the three categories of this Award comprises Gold, Silver and Bronze awards as well as Certificates of Merit. A special award – the “Outstanding SME Award” – will also be selected from the winners in each category in the awards programme, in order to give more recognition to the most innovative products, applications and services deployed by local SMEs. A Grand Award will be selected from the Gold Award winners of the three categories to recognise the most outstanding of the winning entries. In addition, the Grand Award winner will have an opportunity to compete with the winners of the other seven categories under the HKICT Awards 2017 for the title of “Award of the Year”.
