Eric Ma to lead strategic planning for HK-Shenzhen I&T Park

HK-Shenzhen I&T ParkHKSTP has appointed former HKSAR secretary of development Eric Ma as a consultant for the Hong Kong/Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park project, effective today.

Ma will lead overall strategic planning and design the master layout blueprint for the project, which was announced in January.

In his former role with the HKSAR government, Ma was responsible for Hong Kong’s overall land development policy covering land use planning, land disposal, building safety and infrastructure construction, urban renewal and heritage conservation.

He has also previously held senior roles in major infrastructure and construction corporations including AECOM Asia and Maunsell Consultants Asia. He has a bachelor of civil engineering degree from HKU and a master of engineering science degree in transportation from Australia's Monash University.

“Eric’s experience in the construction industry over the years and profound professional background will complement his work with the subsidiary company that is going to be set up, in the planning and management of the [new] park,” HKSTP  CEO Albert Wong said.
