Finnish serial entrepreneurs Peter Veterbacka and Antti Saarnio will deliver a lecture at PolyU on Friday focused on what Hong Kong innovators can learn from the Finnish startup ecosystem.
The lecture, co-organized by PolyU, Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation, and the Consulate General of Finland as part of the Finland 100 series, will focus on themes including meaningful partnerships between Hong Kong and Finnish startup ecosystem actors.
Vesterbacka is former CMO of Angry Birds developer Rovio, a technology unicorn. He is also the founder of Europe's top startup event SLUSH and mobile industry community network MobileMonday, as well as co-founder of learning game studio Lightneer.
Saarnio is a serial entrepreneur who has raised close to US$100 million for various start-ups under his management. He is also the co-founder of mobile operating system developer Jolla.
Finland is a recognized European and worldwide startup hub, with the market having its own 'decacorn' – startups valued at over $10 billion – in mobile game development company Supercell.
