SUNeVision's MEGA-i ranked top data center in Hong KongSUNeVision's MEGA-i data center has been ranked the top facility in Hong Kong in Cloudscene's Q1 2017 Leaderboard.

The Leaderboard ranks the data center, with 193 service providers listed, as the number one  among the 84 colocation data centers operting in Hong Kong, and the seventh largest data center globally.

MEGA-i is a 30-storey, 350,000 gross square feet data center that houses an established ecosystem of interconnected telecom operators, ISPs, OTT players and enterprise customers. It provides access to 10 subsea cables and over 10,000 cross connects, serving as the telecom hub for the region.

Equinix's HK1, HK2 and HK3 facilities were ranked the second, third and fourth top data centers in Hong Kong, followed by SUNeVision's MEGA Two, Jumbo and One data centers.

Digital Realty's 33 Chun Choi Street facility came eighth, Centurylink's HK2 was in ninth ad SUNeVision's MEGAPlus was tenth. 

In terms of the top service providers, PCCW ranked first during the quarter, followed by Traxcomm, Towngas Telecom, HKBN, Colt Technology Services and HKT. Wharf T&T, Global Cloud Xchange, SUNeVision and China Telecom rounded out the top 10 list.
